Solo Recitals
From Anatolia to Andalusia
A journey through guitar music.
In his solo recitals, Alper Yakın presents a program spanning three distinct musical worlds: modern and traditional flamenco, classical guitar masterpieces, and microtonal guitar music, featuring his own compositions and arrangements alongside selected works from the repertoire.
The program includes music by Paco de Lucía, Paco Peña, Manolo Sanlúcar, Carlo Domeniconi, Vicente Amigo, Joaquín Rodrigo, Chick Corea, Baden Powell, and Isaac Albéniz, among others.
Through this program, Yakın’s musical narration unfolds as an epic voyage between the two shores of Mediterranean culture — from Anatolia to Andalusia.
Different Band Formations
Alper Yakın’s work extends across a wide range of guitar traditions, including microtonal guitar, Anatolian-influenced classical compositions and arrangements, modern and traditional flamenco, and selected classical masterpieces. His projects take shape in various formations — duo, trio, quartet, and ensemble settings — each offering a distinct musical perspective.
A central formation is his collaboration with bassist Uygar Çağlı, where the musical narrative unfolds as an epic journey between the two shores of Mediterranean culture, from Anatolia to Andalusia.
Among his most recent projects is Familia Artistica, led by singer-songwriter Sarah Maria. In this formation, Yakın contributes original arrangements and guitar textures to Sarah Maria’s songs, adding new colors, harmonic depth, and a distinctive sonic character that bridges songwriting with Mediterranean and microtonal influences.
